At the University of Waterloo's Alternative Fuels Team, we're designing, building, and marketing the hydrogen vehicles of the future. We have partnered with General Motors, the Department of Energy, and other notable sponsors across North America with the dream of building the next EcoCAR. Not only does this challenge bring us in contact with industry leaders who want to see a greener tomorrow, it also acts as a framework for interacting with you, the interested public. So join us as we get ready to drive the clean vehicles of tomorrow.

Thank you to Mikey Network

August 10th, 2010

mikey-logo1UWAFT would like to thank Mikey Network for donating a public-access defibrillator (PAD) to our student team.  Since our EcoCAR involves advanced technology and high voltage electricity systems, our engineers need to take as many safety precautions as necessary to work on this vehicle in the UWAFT garage.  The PAD donated by Mikey Network helps us increase the safety measures for our technical team.  Thank you Mikey Network for their generous support of our work on this project.

The Mikey Network is a growing group of individuals, organizations, and companies that care deeply for the health and well being of the people in their communities. Through activism, the Mikey Network and its associates raises awareness of Heart Health and educates people about Heart Healthy lifestyle choices, in the hope that fewer people will ever need to rely on devices like our Mikeys.  To learn more about Mikey Network, you can visit their website at: www.mikeynetwork.com
